Is there a way to shorten the duration for this query?
This is a query we're using against a source database to load a data warehouse. It's running on SQL 2014 enterprise with the new cardinality estimator turned off (the row estimates were way off, row count at the select statement was literally in the hundreds of quadrillions). Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what could be done to speed the execution up. I've got to load the warehouse in a 6 hour window, and right now, it's just not cutting it (it's way over that). Could this one just be a matter of adding more resources to the server in terms of CPU cores? Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.link text
